Analysis and PDE Seminar——Equilibrium State of the Stochastic Gross–Pitaevskii Equation

Abstract: In this talk, I will present an overview of our work to date on the stochastic projected Gross–Pitaevskii equation (SPGPE), a macroscopic model for finite-temperature Bose–Einstein condensates. In particular, I will discuss the existence and properties of statistical-mechanical equilibrium states in the stochastic GP equation and compare these results with recent advances in (\Phi^4) theory. This talk is based on several collaborative works with A. de Bouard, A. Debussche, A. Deya, L. Thomann.
